How does the calculation of fees work?
The calculation of university contributions is based on what is established in the Fees Notice for 2025/2026.
If you are a resident in Italy
- Enter your ISEE for University: it is used to calculate any financial benefits.
- The online simulator shows you an estimate of the annual fee based only on the value of the ISEE for University.
- Other discounts or exemptions (provided for by art. 4 of the Fees Notice) will be applied later, at the time of invoicing.
If you are NOT a resident in Italy
- You will pay flat and reduced fees.
- You do not have to submit the ISEE for University (or ISEE parificato).
Payment of the first installment
- The first installment must always be paid, even if you have not yet obtained the ISEE for University.
- After payment, the University will be able to automatically retrieve your ISEE for University from the INPS database (if you requested it within the required timeframe).
- If it turns out that you have paid more than you should, you will receive an automatic refund to the bank account indicated in the dedicated area of Esse3.
You must remember:
- Request the ISEE for University as soon as possible.
- Always check the Fees Notice for deadlines and details.
- Update your bank details on Esse3 to receive any refunds.
The simulator is currently updated according to the 2025/2026 tuition fee notice.
An update with the 2026/2027 parameters will be available soon.
